Use Turnitin to check an individual student's submission
If you'd like to use Turnitin to check an individual student's paper, you'll need to create a Turnitin assignment in Blackboard and have the assignment NOT display in the course or in the Grade Center.
1. When you are within your course, create a Content Area that will NOT be displayed to students.
2. Click on the name of the new content area you just created. You can locate it at the bottom of the list of menu items for students.
6. Upload the student's paper that you want to be checked by Turnitin.
6.5. Click Confirm in the lower left corner.
To review the Originality Report from Turnitin, follow the steps at this link: http://rutgers.screenstepslive.com/s/10713/m/40502/l/386118-review-assignment-in-turnitin
7. Hide the Turnitin assignment item from students in the Grade Center.
Turnitin automatically creates a column in the Grade Center when you create a Turnitin assignment and students will see this "assignment" when they click on "My Grades." If you don't want students to see this column, the remaining steps describe how to hide that column from students.
