Guest NetID - Email Delivery Settings

After activating your NetID, you can set where your Rutgers email will be delivered.  By default, Rutgers Guests receive a scarletmail account but you can choose to add a personal email address as well.  

From http://netid.rutgers.edu, click the Manage Email Addresses link in the menu at the left.

Log in with your NetID and Password and click Login.  Your NetID will typically be your initials followed by a number.

Under the Personalized Email Address section, you will see your [email protected] already entered.  You can create an additional email address by entering firstname.lastname in the field to the left of @rutgers.edu and clicking the Add Personalized Address button.  If your firstname.lastname has already been used by another person at Rutgers, a warning message will be displayed.  If so, you may want to add a middle initial or suffix.

Under the Delivery Email Account section, you will see your scarletmail email address already entered.  You can enter your personal email address and click Add Delivery Address.

While on that page, verify the address that is listed under the Official Rutgers Email Address field.  Typically, you will use your [email protected] address that you created above.  If needed, update the Guest Email Address and click Submit Request.
