Spell check in Blackboard

Blackboard does not automatically check your spelling as you type. After you type text into Blackboard, you need to take an extra step to check for spelling errors.

1. If spell check is not already toggled off on the text editor bar, click on the spell check icon.

2. Click the down arrow to the right of spell check, and click on US English.

3. Type your information in the text box. Spell check will automatically begin to underline any misspelled words in red.

4. Right click on the word underlined in red to get a list of suggestions.

5. Click on the correct suggestion and spell check will change the misspelled word to the correct word.
