Add image to course content area

Blackboard Learn supports the following image file types: .gif, .jif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tiff, and .wmf. Select an image to show on the page. Set the height and width options to display the image at the right size, and include a description for those who cannot see the image.

1. Click on the section of your course where you would like to add an image.

2. Hover your mouse over the Build Content button and click Image in the drop down menu.

3. Select your file image.

3.1. Enter a Name for the image.

3.2. Click Browse My Computer to find your image.

3.3. In the Alt text section, enter brief alternative text for those who are visually impaired and cannot see the image.

4. OPTIONAL: Set Image Options.

4.1. Click on the button next to Original if you would like your image to have the preset dimensions Blackboard provides. If you would like to set your own dimensions for the image, click on the button next to Custom, and type in the set width and height.

4.2. If you would like your image to have a border, navigate to the drop down box and click on the number of borders you would like for your image.

5. OPTIONAL: In the Standard Options section, you may limit availability for when your students may view the image.

5.1. Click the box next to Display After and enter the date and time that the image will be available to students.

5.2. Click the box next to Display Until and enter the date and time that the image will no longer be available to students.
