Edit discussion board to make a graded assignment

After you've created a discussion board, you can edit it to make it a graded assignment. It will then automatically appear as a column in the Grade Center.

1. Once in your course, click Discussion Board on the left side of the screen.

2. Hover your mouse over the name of the discussion board, click the down arrow to the right of the discussion board name, and select Edit.

3. Scroll down to Forum Settings, click on the button next to Grade Discussion Forum, and enter the number of Points Possible for the assignment.

4. Select the minimum number of posts a student must make before the "needs grading" icon appears in the Grade Center.
